AAGBS is delighted to announce that it has received a contribution from YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Arshad Ayub. This contribution is in the form of shares from Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad and KPJ Healthcare Berhad valued at RM5.432 million. It is the aspiration of YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Arshad Ayub that the dividend from the shares to be directed towards AAGBS’ priority projects particularly in students’ development activities.
To honour this, AAGBS is committed to capitalise the fund for the benefit of the students by enhancing students’ development programs and activities. It is hoped that this contribution would strengthen AAGBS’s position in nurturing leadership talent that ultimately contribute to nation building.
AAGBS welcomes philanthropic supports from businesses, individuals and other agencies to further enhance the universities’ programs and initiatives. Indeed, external contribution towards development fund has been instrumental to universities advancement. Many world class universities like Harvard University and Cambridge University have been able to pursue their objectives through support from external contributors particularly the alumni. These funds enable the universities to focus on major activities which include the development of new buildings and infrastructure, student support and research initiatives.
Hence, AAGBS is deeply grateful and our heartfelt appreciation goes to YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Arshad Ayub for his kind gesture and initiative. Hopefully, this initiative will pave the way for more supports from others.
