AAGBS and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (MAHB) and Malaysia Institute of Transport (MITRANS) UiTM

On 29 October 2013, Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School (AAGBS) had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MAHB and MITRANS on the collaboration in conducting ‘in house’ academic courses, namely MBA (Executive Mode) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), for the employees of MAHB. The event was held at Anjung Sri Budiman (ANNEX), UiTM Shah Alam, in conjunction with the Conferment Ceremony of MAHB employees who participated in the Malaysia Airports Career Development Program (MACDP) 2013. Associate Professor Dr Jaafar Pyeman (Director of AAGBS) represented AAGBS in the signing ceremony while Prof Ir Dr Hj Abdul Rahman Omar (Deputy Vice Chancellor Research & Innovation) represented UiTM, Prof Dr Saadiah Yahya (Director of MITRANS) represented MITRANS and Tan Sri Bashir Ahmad (Managing Director of MAHB) represented MAHB. The signing ceremony was then followed by the conferment of the Corporate Diploma in Airport Management and Executive Diploma in Airport Management to employees of MAHB who have successfully completed their studies.

The MOU reflects the success of AAGBS specifically and MITRANS and UiTM generally, in forging closer and more meaningful linkages between the academia and the industry. Armed with the MBA (Executive Mode) and DBA qualifications, MAHB employees would undeniably possess greater productivity and skills as well as the competitive edge, which will carry MAHB to greater heights.
