It was a meeting of friends and the establishment of new networks when AAGBS participated in the 3rd International Conference on Accounting, Business and Economics (ICABE) at Yogyakarta, Indonesia on the 23rd till the 24th of October, 2019. More than 150 delegates from various countries attended the conference and papers were presented under the theme of ‘Global Opportunities and Challenges in Industry Revolution 4.0: Never Ending Innovation’.
AAGBS was presented by Dr Mohamad Nizam Jaafar, the Coordinator of the DBA and PhD programs and Dr Nurazree Mahmud, the Postgraduate Coordinator of UiTM City Campus, Melaka. A booth was set up to provide information on AAGBS’ programs and this attracted a number of queries from participants.
A total of 122 conference papers were presented by participants from various countries including Australia and Malaysia as well as those from Indonesia. Selected papers will be published in a Scopus indexed conference proceeding publication.
There was a signing ceremony between the co-hosts and the main organizer during the event and Professor Dr Jaka Sriyana, the Dean of Business School represented Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) while Dr Nizam represented AAGBS.
An added bonus for AAGBS was when Dr Nizam’s paper won the Best Paper Award in the Management papers category. Congratulations to Dr Nizam for a job well done and to Dr Nurazree for supporting AAGBS in promoting our programs.
