AAGBS Researchers Begin Research Secondment at AGH University, Poland Under Horizon Europe ODDEA Project

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Nur Arfah Mustapha and Dr. Zoel-Fazlee have officially commenced their research secondment at AGH University of Krakow, Poland. This academic exchange is being undertaken as part of the Horizon Europe MSCA Staff Exchange programme, “Overcoming the Digital Divide in Europe and South East Asia (ODDEA)”.

Since their arrival on 22 May 2026, both researchers have actively integrated into the university’s academic community, participating in various institutional programmes, including the Student Research Conference held on 29 May 2026.

Throughout this one-month secondment, Dr. Nur Arfah and Dr. Zoel-Fazlee are directly contributing to the project’s Work Package 4. Their research focuses on a comprehensive qualitative analysis conducted among firms, industrial clusters, and individuals. By examining these different levels, the study seeks to identify the socio-economic and structural barriers contributing to regional digital disparities.

This initiative reflects a strong collaboration with the host research team at AGH University. The joint research activities are coordinated by Dr. Joanna Duda and Dr. Rafal Kusa, whose expertise helps ensure the effective alignment of research methodologies between participating institutions from Europe and Southeast Asia.

Ultimately, the findings generated through this collaborative research are expected to provide valuable insights into regional digitalisation trends. The results will support the development of comprehensive policy recommendations aimed at fostering more dynamic, equitable, and targeted digital advancement within partner countries and across the broader Southeast Asian and European regions.
