Master in Islamic Banking and Finance (MIBF)

Master in Islamic banking and finance supports the current initiative to champion Malaysia as an Islamic finance hub by leveraging on both conventional finance and Shari’ah compliance regulation to promote resilient and sustainable marketplace. The program is the first postgraduate Islamic banking and finance program offered by a public institute of higher learning. This program is conducted within 18 - 24 months for completion. This program is also recognized by IBFIM where upon completion of the program, students may be awarded a professional certification, Associate Qualification in Islamic Finance (AQIF). Students may apply to obtain the certification with minimum fee. Candidates with non-Shariah background but are interested to embark on the program will have to attend and pass an executive program organized by AAGBS during the first semester.
Program Educational Objectives (PEO) for MIBF Program
PEO 1  Islamic banking and finance professionals who are knowledgeable, analytical and possess a deep understanding of Shariah Principles.
PEO 2 Islamic banking and finance professionals who exhibit leadership qualities through effective communication and problem-solving skills (digital skills and numeracy skills) in engaging society and well-being
PEO 3 Islamic banking and finance professionals with entrepreneurial and managerial skills who possess high integrity and resilience.
